Thank you for your interest in the LIFE Homeschool Support Group. We are a Christian group that is nondenominational and not
affiliated with any particular church. The purpose of our group is to support and encourage one another as we pursue the calling
to educate our children at home.
LIFE, in existence since 1994, functions in Gwinnett and Walton counties and averages about seventy member families each year. We are not an
exclusive club, but seek to draw likeminded homeschoolers by our godly conduct and purpose
Monthly Meetings
Our group meets in the Loganville/Grayson area the first Tuesday of each month, beginning in September and ending in May. In addition to covering any group
business, we also enjoy a devotion, snacks and an uplifting evening of fellowship with one another. Occasionally, a guest speaker shares
information that is both valuable and practical to assist us in conducting our individual home schools. The monthly meeting is for the teaching
parent, but spouses and nursing babies are welcome, of course. The limitations of the meeting facilities do not allow us to accommodate
children.
We know that the time of a busy, homeschooling mom is quite dear. In order to honor your time, we will begin and end our meetings promptly and
follow a set agenda each month. Our December and May meetings are typically held at an alternative location for our Christmas party and
end-of-year catered dinner for our moms. We also schedule a Moms’ Night Out each month at a local restaurant for those who can attend.
LIFE Activities
In addition to fellowship and homechooling support, LIFE offers a number of in-house activities each year, such as a creative arts fair,
an academic fair, a spelling bee, a field day, and many others, as well as a few holiday parties throughout the year for the children. We also
organize a number of field trips of various types to accommodate a wide variety of interests. Our teen group meets once each month to enjoy with
their peers a time of devotion and an activity planned especially for them.
